Meet Tempi

Mackenzie purchased Tempi as a two year old from TopNotch Warmbloods in Ladysmith, BC. She arrived in Manitoba later that year and spent time growing up, being handled and taught the basics of being a good citizen.
Mackenzie started Tempi under saddle herself and has throughly enjoyed the process and developing her to where she is now. Tempi is one of Mackenzie’s favourite partners. The two connected very early on and have built a trusting bond.
Tempi travelled to Ottawa in the summer of 2024 to compete in the east coast circuit, and was successful in every outing including scoring 70% at none other than the Ottawa Dressage Festival.
In 2025 Tempi travelled and competed at Tilted Tiara at RMSJ in Calgary Alberta, as well as competed locally.
Mackenzie plans to debut Tempi third level this upcoming season. Her willingness and desire to work makes her a lovely prospect to work with and develop.

Meet Disco

Famously bred, Owned by Mackenzie’s long time supporter.
Disco was imported by Exclusive Dressage Imports, out of San Diego, California and thoughtfully developed for a time by Mackenzie’s dear friend, Ehren Volk.
Disco arrived in 2020 as a striking 6 year old. He is the perfect, certified good boy. Really the best of both worlds, extremely talented while having the best brain you could ask for. Brave and reasonable with an amazing work ethic. Disco has been a dependable partner for Mackenzie, her students, and his owner.
Mackenzie has had ease developing Disco to the Prix. St. Georges level. The pair have been able to progress on an uphill trajectory through the winter months where he is in full training under Mackenzie, and while sharing their knowledge with his lovely owner and rider the rest of the year. It’s a dream arrangement for all.
Disco loves his hay ball, lick-it treats and a big field to romp around in. He loves to show off, particularly while teaching riders what he knows.
Mackenzie is fortunate to have access to such a talented, trustworthy mount with an incredible, supportive owner. The pair are currently working on movements from the Grand Prix.

Fearless has been Mackenzie’s competition partner since 2022. He was acquired in Wellington over the winter season, and imported by friend Jenny Wetterau with the Dressage Horse Source. It was love at first ride.
Fearless and Mac have progressed to competing in the FEI Senior Grand Prix division. The pair are nationally ranked 1st in the intermediate 2, and second in the Medium Tour division, behind none other than Jacqueline Brooks. The duo made a strong competition debut in Ottawa at the Dressage Festival in 2024, and look forward to returning in the upcoming years.
Fearless loves his job, he is the hardest working horse in the barn. He shows up for work every day with an exuberant joy for learning and showing off. He enjoys brisk walks and grass breaks, a good roll and buck in his paddock.
Fearless is a dream for the Solace team, and we look forward to his accomplishments in the future.

Bruno came to us as a newly imported 3 year old. Sourced by Exclusive Dressage Imports in San Diego, California.
Bruno is a professional cuddle bug and barn favourite. He has progressed, and grown, leaps and bounds since he arrived as a beautiful prospect. Mackenzie has developed Bruno thoughtfully and patiently from the beginning. Over the last few years, Mackenzie has travelled with Bruno all over Canada and the USA working to give him positive learning experiences in order to build the fundamentals to become a confident competition horse and partner. He has ultra scores in Training and First Level up to 76+%
Bruno is currently schooling all the work from the Prix. St. Georges and excels with the changes, even beginning to play with some one time tempi changes. We will continue building his confidence and focus in the show ring, and begin climbing the levels as appropriate.
Bruno loves a good nap, or two. Long slow walks and lots of mints.
